Pitti Uomo 87 Autumn Winter 2015, Florence Street Style Round Up

Ive just got back from Florence where fashion’s most current make the bi-annual pilgrimage to Pitti Uomo – the renowned, if not infamous menswear showcase in Italy. Where people either work looking out for new collections or people just stand around desperate for a photographer (which there are 100’s) to snap them and be on the same blog as Nick Wooster! Heres a round-up of what they have been sporting this season, some pretty damn cool and some looking like they are off to a fancy dress party. Enjoy….

A Bathing Ape Shark Hoodie 10th Anniversary

A BATHING APE is celebrating the 10th anniversary of one of its most iconic pieces — the indispensable Shark Hoodie — with a capsule collection featuring a quartet of reissued hoodies. Built with signature full zip detailing that extends to the hood, and adorned with 10th anniversary branding on the left front pocket, the revamped pieces include an all-white and all-black edition with reflective print. All four come in special packaging and feature Swarovski crystals for a distinctively luxe aesthetic. The collection, rounded out by a quartet of matching tees, (surely just to call this an anniversary collection) is scheduled to launch through BAPE’s online store on October 25

Stussy IST Varsity Jacket

Streetwear staple brand Stussy has gone back to its roots and returns this season with a new iteration of its ”IST Varsity Jacket.” In a retro-inspired aesthetic, the hooded wool garment features contrasting varsity stripes on the bottom and cuffs, while leather sleeves are also set in a different color to bring out the nostalgic feel even further. The jacket then adorns a large “INTERNATIONAL Stussy TRIBE” motif on the rear, with more brand patchworks on the front chest area. Finishing touches include branded buttons, leather-covered pockets and a quilted interior. The jacket was one of the earliest unifying representations of Stussy’s global influence as select International Stussy Tribe members were gifted with jackets as a token to the movement. Available in a black and white colorway as well as a grey and white option, the jacket will soon be available at Stussy Chapter Stores in Japan.

DKNY x Opening Ceremony Autumn Winter 2014

In its fourth season now, we take a look at the new DKNY for Opening Ceremony Fall/Winter 2014 Collection. Heavily inspired by 90s hip hop, the golden era, the collection was once again curated by downtown stylist Jay Massacret and offers a set of bold looks, using large DKNY Athletic logos and lots of metallic silver. Archive DKNY pieces are recreated and come back with a modern touch in this popular capsule for both men and women.

Roux Autumn Winter 2014 Drop 1

Drawing on nearly 10 years experience living and working in London’s Soho district, Roux. founder Greg White and those involved with the label continue to be inspired by the people, architecture and style that embody the area and seek to imbue their clothes with the same unique qualities. Roux.’s presence has been achieved in partnership with advertising agency Kastner & Partners in London, by using the agency’s creative strength and resources to bring the label’s vision to market.

The first AW14 drop from Roux. is a collection of carefully considered hand-printed t-shirts, inspired by the often over-delivered, and suggestion that it’s all been done before. Predominantly monochrome in delivery with subtle uses of teal, the graphics follow designer Greg White’s favoured style of bold shapes, repeat patterning and subtle concealed messages.

Printed in the UK onto a soft mix of 50% cotton 50% modal t-shirts. Buy HERE

Saint Laurent 2014 Autumn Winter Collection Preview

Paris fashion house Saint Laurent has released a preview of its 2014 Autumn Winter collection. Presenting a compelling range of luxurious apparel, the collection features timeless outwear staples such as the double-breasted biker jacket, varsity jacket and duffle coat, while leopard and reptile prints and plaid take on button-up shirts, tees and crewnecks. Continuing the label’s progressive forays in fashion, Hedi Slimane provides another solid line for the forthcoming season. visvim FBT Geo Patchwork

A fantastic new version of the popular mid top visvim FBT shoe has released this week outside of Japan. Entitled “geo patchwork,” the signature flap of the sneaker comes featuring a triangular patchwork pattern, made up of different fabrics. The upper of the shoe comes in premium UK suede and the sneaker is available in overall three colourways.

Undefeated x LA Galaxy Lookbook

Concept By Cruise present a lookbook to accompany their exclusive UK release of the Undefeated x LA Galaxy collaboration. Shot on a downsized astro turf “5 a side” pitch, the lookbook shows off the sportswear-inspired collection’s range of apparel. Supreme 20th Anniversary Collection

New York skate brand Supreme celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. We actually like the fact that they keep it simple for this one. They could have done a series of high profile collaborations, but we get that from Supreme basically all year already. For their 20th anniversary the brand presents a Taxi Driver-inspired graphic T-shirt, their iconic box logo T-shirt, as well as both graphics on a skateboard deck. These two T-shirts were released on opening day 20 years ago and these two will be released for the occasion. And that’s it!
The Supreme 20th anniversary collection will release at its own stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and online on April 24, and in Japan on April 26.

Champion Reverse Weave Collection

Japan always get the best stuff, FACT! There are too many brands out there that dont sell or even ship to our shores. Saying that one of my favourite US heritage brands, Champion have seen sense and at the back end of last year they re-released their legendary Reverse Weave Collection of sweats, hoodies & joggers. For the uninitiated this weaving method ensures the garments avoid vertical shrinkage, so all that heavyweight fleecy cotton goodness won’t change shape any time soon. Two colours Grey Marl & Navy Blue, unfortunately not in the amazing colours available in Japan buy hey its a start and they are available on your door step.
