COMME des GARCONS PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star’ 70

Continuing their successful collaboration, PLAY COMME des GARCONS and Converse will release the Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 this month. Both high top and low top versions of the sneaker will be offered in black and off-white. The heart logo of the brand is now much bigger on the new footwear range, and cut off by the midsole. The COMME des GARCONS PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star’ 70 will be launched exclusively at Dover Street Market London, Dover Street Market New York and COMME des GARCONS New York on May 14. On May 15 the sneakers will launch at all other COMME des GARCONS stores.

Mo’Wax x Converse Jack Purcell Collection

Headed by James Lavelle, Mo’Wax was founded in 1992 and quickly became a melting pot of subcultures and musical style, releasing music from the likes of DJ Shadow, DJ Krush and Blackalicious, while also boasting collaborations with NIGO, Futura 2000, Medicom Toys and more. To celebrate two decades of creativity, Mo’Wax teamed up with Converse to present a remake to Lavelle’s favorite silhouettes, the Converse Jack Purcell. The collection consists of the Ox which boasts a unique white debossed leather upper, and the Mid-Top which features a premium stingray leather upper. Both iterations are made meticulously, despite their minimal makeup. “Build & Destroy” are debossed onto the rubber toecaps with iconic camo screen-print graphics (synonymous to Ben Dury’s signature work) take on the cotton base. Metallic gold logos take on the sockliners and heel stay, while an icy blue outsole rounds out sneakers with a bold finish.

Converse x Nigel Cabourn Chuck Taylor 1970 Hi “Ventile”

Today we get a first look at the next collaboration between Converse and heritage brand Nigel Cabourn. After previously having done the Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey and the Plimsole, Nigel Cabourn worked on the Chuck Taylor 1970 this time. Giving it a white upper and red details and branding, the look is clean and perfect for the summer months that lie ahead. The designer used Ventile fabric for the upper, making the shoes weatherproof, which is a subtle, yet exciting feature on these. The sneakers will release at select retailers on March 21.

Marked by quirky-yet-cool details, sophistication, and effortless style, Converse presents its Spring/Summer 2014 Jack Purcell collection. Featuring a variety of takes on the silhouette and a brand new apparel collection inspired by the timeless tennis shoe (to be fair its shit…so I’m not gonna show you it) the range sees the shoe updated with details like tortoise shell eyelets, leather-wrapped foxing, gum rubber soles, flecked laces, and tumbled leather uppers. The full collection – including everything from an unstructured blazer to a patterned polo and graphic tee – is now available online and at select Converse stockists.

Union x Converse First String 1970s Chuck Taylor All Star Collection

For the first time ever, California retailer Union teams with the iconic Converse brand to release a two-part collection of First String 1970s Chuck Taylor All Stars. Each drop is constructed with a premium felted wool exterior and lined with soft sheep’s leather to turn an otherwise summery sneaker into a fully winterized piece of footwear. While the white version features emerald stitching and a neon yellow outsole, the blue pair goes tonal with its stitch detail to match a vibrantly red outsole. Both models will also come with an alternate set of laces to match its outsole color. The Union x Converse 1970s Chuck Taylor All Star Collection is currently available in-store at the retailer’s Los Angeles location

Stussy x Converse CX-PRO OX

Stussy and Converse renew their longstanding relationship, following this spring’s Japan-only Stussy Deluxe CX-PRO OX drop with a trio of high-top Chuck Taylor All Stars for Autumn Winter 2013. Available in black, purple and red colourways, the collaborative release sees the iconic kicks with premium croc-embossed tumbled leather upper, woven Stussy No. 4 tongue labels and an icy outsole highlighting Stussy’s interlocking “SS” branding. Completing the package are cushy custom insoles for superior comfort. This season’s Stussy x Converse collaboration is due to be available exclusively at Stussy chapters and the brand’s online store for $85 USD each beginning this Saturday, November 16.

Converse x Isolda Brazilian Print Collection

American footwear mainstay Converse teams up with Brazilian fashion brand Isolda on a sneaker range celebrating Brazil’s vibrant culture. The collaboration applies a bold palette of watercolors and exotic hues to three iconic sneaker silhouettes from the Converse archive – the Converse Chuck Taylor, the Converse CONS Auckland Racer and the Converse CONS Skidgrip. A total of nine different prints will be available exclusively in Brazil at select retailers including Dona Coisa in Rio De Janeiro and Cartell 001 in Sao Paulo.
