Diemme Fontesi

DI1407FO11_loItalian footwear brand Diemme are very excited to announce the launch of the Fontesi – a mid top unisex sneaker with a diagonal zip closure. The Fontesi’s origin comes from a technical mountain runner, changed to the unrecognisable to give a clean and minimal sneaker with the main feature being the zipper from Swiss supplier Riri that cuts down the upper. For technical reasons the Fontesi has the strongest zipper Riri produces in order to withstand the test of time.

Diemme are using a Kudu Antelope leather in this colourway from UK tannery Charles F. Stead & Co.  Antelope leathers are thick but incredibly soft and as Kudu is an animal that lives in the wild there will be natural scuff marks and distressed areas on this leather. The style features a nappa leather mouth and a calf leather lined footbed. The famed Serena sole, produced by a family run rubber producer in Marche, Italy, that has been making soles since 1952. A sole that is practically impossible to wear down and will last you a lifetime.

adidas Originals ‘Sneaker Boutique’ Pack

adidas-originals-sneaker-boutique | The Style Raconteur

adidas Originals introduces the “Sneaker Boutique” pack comprised of the Honey 2.0, two pairs of the ZX 500 and Bankshot 2.0. Across the four sneakers we see a pseudo elephant print adorning each pair in varying degrees of subtlety. The Honey 2.0 makes the most use of the pattern while the dual ZX 500s feature the print as contrast.

Y-3 Spring Summer 2015 Footwear Collection

Y-3 Spring Summer 15 | The Style Raconteur

Y-3 are smashing in at the moment with this seasons introduction of the Qasa and Boost silhouettes which was going to bw hard to top but they have done it again for the second season on the bounce. They have just unveiled the remaining styles in its latest 2015 spring summer footwear collection. Adopting a predominantly muted colour palette of black and white, the lineup encompasses models such as the new Qasa Retro Boost, Laver slip-on, Held 2 high-top, Kaohe sandal and Kohna Futuristic as well as two of the original Qasa silhouettes. While the sneakers incorporate incognito colours, the materials utilized create an interesting effect like with the rest of the previous releases, where we find neoprenes, suedes and leather accents tastefully adorning different areas. The above boost is the winning style for me. Canada Goose Behind The Scenes

Canada Goose | The Style Raconteur

Gear Patrol recently visited the factories of Canadian institution, Canada Goose. The outdoor imprint has dedicated itself to the craft of keeping people warm and protected since 1957. However, the brand truly defined itself for the modern era in 1972, when CEO Dani Reiss’ father David Reiss invented the down-filling machine which led to a new range of ultra-wear and now iconic jackets. Since then, the Toronto-based Canada Goose has forged ahead in maintaining a close and intimate relationship with both the product it creates and the people it protects. The brand has recently opened the doors to a new showroom, design studio and factory that enables the rapid iteration and design of new products. This close-knit approach will further build on the credibility and growth the iconic brand has had over the course of the last half century. Roux Scuro Lookbook

Untitled

The second AW14 release from Roux. focuses on the qualities of bold contrasts, drawing its inspiration from the artistic technique of Chiaroscuro, literally meaning ‘light and dark’ and how the strength of darkness often defines light. To fully appreciate the relationship, the project, shot by renowned street photograper Mr Whisper, relies entirely on the natural shadows and highlights produced by the city, with no additional lighting introduced. The continuous focus on prominent angles and obliques the environment casts is distinctive across the shoot. Consisting of a tonal black-on-black varsity jacket and shirt, tonally contrasting sweatshirts and joggers in a lighter grey marl, and three black-on-black t-shirts limited to 48 prints, the collection marks an increase in product categories since the launch in August.
