Suprem x Stone Island Spring Summer 2015 | The Style Raconteur

This season’s Supreme x Stone Island collection is gonna hit the Italian brand’s webshop and Supreme Stores next Thursday 9th April not on just the German edition of their website as was first feared today.

Composed of two anoraks that appear to be Tela Stella, three long-sleeve tees and two caps, the collaborative goods continue the duo’s recent efforts to outfit classic pieces from the Stone Island archive with decidedly on-trend prints and patterns. While the striped tees keep things grounded, the allover paisley anoraks are sure to be one of Spring Summer 2015’s most coveted cops.

Stone Island SS15 Camo Bomber Jacket | The Style Raconteur

A new running theme or side collection for Stone Island this continues for Spring Summer 2015 with an design inspired by an indonesian  camouflage from the 1960’s. The garment that stands out for me is the simple bomber jacket, the fabric is a double weave military-spec fabric, made with a cotton / nylon blend weft and a linen warp, which has then been treated inside to create a light level of wind and water resistance. A classic, athletic design, it is equipped with two welt pockets, a ribbed collar, cuffs and hem and is finished with of course the detachable logo patch at the arm. After teasing us with a traditional lookbook as well as a video, Stone Island‘s Shadow Projectimprint has begun to release select items from this season’s collection. One of which is this supple, unlined cowhide leather Flight Jacket. The premium option comes equipped with a detachable fur collar and star quilted iridescent liner lightly insulated with polyester, which can be worn as a standalone piece and fits into all SISP “Augment” jackets. An array of utility is offered in large pockets at the front, sleeve and interior. Finishing details include soft nylon jersey cuffs and hem, and a combination front snap button and zip fastening. Stone Island x Supreme Capsule Collection

Another bit of Stone Island news as Supreme presents its aptly-timed collaborative capsule with Italian company for Winter 2014 season. Consisting of both a crewneck and hooded sweatshirt as well as a jacket, sweatpant and camp cap, the collection features subtle branding from both parties while retaining the performance-oriented features Stone Island is famous for. For example, the Raso Gommato Cover Nero Jacket is crafted from a wind and water-resistant cotton satin bonded to a polyurethane coating and outfitted with a removable liner.

Look for the collection in-store in at Supreme locations in New York, Los Angeles, London and online on October 2 and later across Japan on October 4. The capsule will also be available at select Stone Island stores.

We can assume the Italian brand have deployed their signature space-age fabrics alongside the hand-painted finish, which gives each piece a unique finish and texture. Stone Island presents its new Lasered Reflex Mat Jacket from its spring/summer 2014 collection. Aside from being both water and wind-resistant, the jacket features a polyester base treated with a special Lasered Reflex Mat coating composed of thousands of glass microspheres enriched with high-saturation coloring agents. This coating becomes transformed when shot by specially programmed lasers to produce unique engraved patterns, making each piece one-of-a-kind. Stone Island have created two jackets using thermo-sensitive, color-changing technology for their Autumn Winter 2013 collection. The fabric is comprised of a water and wind resistant polyurethane film that is embedded with micro-encapsulated pigments, causing it to change color as the temperature changes. Available in two styles – the Ice Jacket-J is a collared button-up that uses the thermo-sensitive fabric all over, while the Knit features thermo-sensitive fabric on the torso, knit black sleeves and a hood.
