If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the Nike Air Force 1 has solidified itself as one of the greatest sneakers all time. Well, even without its imitators, the AF1 is already considered among the greats which is why it comes as no surprise that another company this time, Valentino appears to have used it as a foundation for its newest release. The silhouette is very similar with strap and sole details mirroring its Nike counterpart.
What sets this apart from the AF1 is the premium materials. The shoe is made in Italy with an upper comprised of a calk-skin leather and fabric insets to mimic a camo pattern. Rubber stud details can also be seen on the shoe’s back heel as well as the forefoot of the shoe’s outsole. All in all this is a premium sneaker for those people who want to take it to that next level. Dont get me wrong this is a beautifully crafted sneaker but I personally will be sticking to the trusted Nike version…If you on the other hand can part with £600+ shop here
Maybe you heard of Thorocraft at some point during your past #menswear 1.0 travels. They were purveyors of perfectly fine footwear, but, for the most part, their designs were always a bit too swagless for out taste. But none of that wack shit matters anymore because Thorocraft just pulled off the ill rebrand, flipping the script and reemerging as TCG (aka Thoroughly Crafted Goods), a brand with an aesthetic much more in line with today’s customer. The first installment of their new philosophy is seen with the brand’s “Olympia” pack of two athletic-leaning sneakerboots that are more sneaker than they are boot. Im looking forward to see what they have in store over the next couple of seasons.

Dead Dilly, who we recently commissioned to imagine Kanye x Adidas and evenrebranded the NBA, is back with a new series of illustrations that imagine collabs between Jordan and high-end fashion labels. While merely a dream, a lot of these aren’t terrible. I wouldn’t be totally upset with some MMM paint-dipped Jordan III’s. Does that make me a bad person? Probably.
Being the savvy artist that he is, he also created what would be a Saint Laurent Paris Jordan 1 aka basically just the current Saint Laurent hi-top sneaker with a Nike logo. The only real brick I can detect is the Hood By Air Jordan 5, if only because if HBA were to actually collab with Jordan, then it would either be totally insane, with a ton of straps and stuff, or it would simply have a printed box logo on the side costing an extra £500. But, yeah, overall Dilly is visionary when it comes to this shit.
