Common Projects Spring Summer 2013

When founders Prathan Poopat and Flavio Girolami started Common Projects, their mission was to create minimalist, comfortable sneakers, made in Italy using only the finest materials. In addition to a utilitarian design, the shoes were virtually anonymous, with exterior branding limited to the article number and shoe size, factory-stamped in gold foil near the heel. The brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is largely an extension of that original mission statement, with new slip-on sneakers, tennis shoes and crepe-soled loafers joining reliable standbys like the Achilles and Tournament, finished in new colours and materials for spring.

Nike Solarsoft Moccassin

Nike Sportswear continues to expand its range of Solarsoft offerings, this latest design reminds me of my summer beater the Roshe Run.  The Nike Solarsoft Moccassin is back with a new that’s less traditional moc and more minimalist running meets lifestyle comfort a la zenmaster Roshe.

Mr Bathing Ape 1st Camo Seersucker Blazer

A Bathing Ape camo always holds a special place in my heart is but the latest all-over print style piece of outerwear from the veteran brand is a bit special. Made from cotton twill, key detailing includes horn buttons, a left cuff featuring engraved ape head button detail, internal dual-branded label and five total pockets. A truly incredible piece that can be worn smart or casual depending on how the mood takes you…

T by Alexander Wang Autumn Winter 2013

In the majority I prefer T than Alexander Wang’s mainline. It’s more relaxed and wearable. The Autumn Winter 13 collection stays true to past collection colour pallets with dark toned greens, black, greys  and more on contemporary outerwear and pants. This Winter offers new pieces like stylish hooded sweatshirts that cover the neck, soft button-down cardigans and long coats, while returned options include rich leather jackets and multiple sweatpants.

Stone Island 30 Archivio Website

The website will be launched at the beginning of February. The website is dedicated to STONE ISLAND 30, the exhibition which has been held last June at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence which I was lucky enough to attend, (check out the images here) produced in collaboration with Fondazione Pitti Discovery and with the Patronage of the City of Florence. The significant videos and photos will document , historicized and spread the exhibition.

The celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Stone Island started in Florence with the exhibition and the launch of the book “Stone Island Archivio ‘982’012”. The connection between Stone Island and the city of Florence has been strengthened this week by the unveiling of the brand fifth Italian Flagship store.

Nike Roshe Run Graphic

Nike‘s sleeper hit of 2012, the Roshe Run, gets some new colourways this month with the release of the Graphic Pack. Coming in Obsidian and Deep Royal Blue, Vivid Sulfur and Tour Yellow, and Atomic Teal and Crystal Mint, this latest version of the Roshe features floral graphics across the mesh upper. New colorways aside, the shoes retain the same Phylon midsole and Solarsoft insole that we’ve all come to love. Buy the latest Roshe Styles HERE
