German auto behemoth Mercedes-Benz are set to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their cross-country G series of vehicles. Limited to 200 units in Japan only, the AMG model sports an upgraded interior and exterior, 5.5-liter V-8-cylinder twin-turbo engine and is available in a very military-looking olive, alongside black and white versions.

Mercedes-Benz may have phased out the G-Class SWB back in 2011, but that hasn’t stopped Brabus from introducing a brand new upgrade kit for the defunct three-door SUV. Making use of the G500 BA3 Final Edition, the customized G-Class bears the Brabus Widestar body kit and sits on 22″ nine-spoke Monoblock E alloy wheels as beautiful red and black leather coats the interior. Given the “6.1″ designation, the vehicle likely boasts a healthy increase in power over the 388 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque of the original 5.5 liter V8

The Dubai police force has just given us a new reason to get arrested – it’s added a Brabus-tuned G63 AMG to its fleet.
Yep, the 690bhp B637 “700 Widestar” is the latest lump of exotica the Emirati rozzers can tool around in. And with a top speed of 149mph, 0-60mph time of 4.9 seconds and a roster of off-road credentials, it’ll be able to bring many deserty high-speed pursuits to a close. It rounds off the Dubai police force’s crim-troubling armada of 217mph Lamborghini Aventador (for high-speed motorway chases), 208mph four-wheel drive Ferrari FF (for, er, wintry high-speed motorway chases), and 197mph Bentley Continental (for storing more than one assailant)!!! All will be on display at the Dubai Motor Show soon.
Its a sad day…British car manufacturer Land Rover has announced it will be stopping production of the original off-roader in just two years. Although the name “Defender” has only been used since 1990, the vehicle itself can be traced all the way back to the original Series I Land Rover from 1948.
The end of the Defender in 2015 is mostly an issue of emissions compliance as the bulky SUV can’t be retrofitted to meet today’s clean-air standards in its various markets. While it’s sad to see such an iconic vehicle end its run, the company claims “a replacement vehicle will join the Land Rover range.” So far no real details are known regarding the Defender’s replacement
I want just about everything James Bond has touched. From the watches to the women and everything in between. One of the coolest Bond items could be yours (assuming you’re willing to shell out the cash and you have a little luck on your side) later this year. The Lotus Esprit (the submarine car from “The Spy Who Loved Me”) is headed to auction this September. Of course, if you want to be the proud owner of this bad boy, you’re probably going to have to throw down a few million.

Until I save up enough for a G-Wagon this will have to do!…Based on the original Land Rover, the Defender has looked essentially the same since its introduction in 1983. To celebrate their 65th anniversary, Land Rover has introduced the Land Rover Defender LXV Special Edition. Truth be told, it should be titled “Limited Edition” as only 65 of these iconic vehicles will be made. Exterior upgrades include 16 inch “Sawtooth” alloy wheels and Santorini black body color with contrasting roof, grill, and headlight surrounds sprayed Corris Grey. On the inside you will find leather seating with LXV embossed head-rests and orange stitching. And in typical Defender fashion, not much else. Power comes from a 2.2 liter diesel.
Here is a look at a limited edition release of the Mercedes-Benz G550 dubbed “Night Edition.” The special design of the four-wheel-drive SUV is exclusive to the Japanese market and features an obsidian black exterior along with twin 5-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels with the choice of either Porcelain or Classic Red for the luxurious leather interior. With only 100 pieces in production the G550 “Night Edition” will be available from Roppongi’s Mercedes-Benz Connection from April 22.
