HUF 2012 Spring Summer Pastel Plantlife Socks

Extending its popular Plantlife theme from last year’s collection, HUF repeats the cannabis leaf motif on a series of pastel socks this year. The jacquard knit-patterned socks now come in three pastel hues: yellow, pink and blue, with white plant patterns and a double-layered heel and toe for greater comfort and durability.

Old Timey Star Wars Illustrations by Nick Agin

20120330-085123.jpg

Designer and illustrator Nick Agin worked on a personal project, exploring the iconic Star Wars film characters. The outcome is a great series of illustrations, inspired by the style that old American presidents were drawn in. Included in the line-up are of course Vader, Yoda, 3-CPO and the Stormtrooper next to a few others.

Stone Island Liquid Reflective Jacket Spring Summer 2012

20120329-185500.jpg

Liquid Reflective is a symbol of Stone Island’s research and experimentation as they’re devoted to giving consumers cutting edge garments. Composed of thousands of glass microspheres, it is highly reflective and reacts strongly to light when it comes into contact with even the weakest light sources. The Liquid treatment is applied by means of hand spraying color onto each individual finished garment which then generates an uneven liquid effect. The piece is then baked dry using a similar technology to the one used for car bodywork. Buy here

HEADPORTER is launching a new range of bags called the Regatta Series. These bags feature a distinct two-tone break up on the exterior made from heavy canvas and tarpaulin. Consisting of three classic silhouettes – tote bag, shoulder bag, and bonsack – with all of the models produced in at least two color schemes. There is the brown/blue, beige/yellow, khaki/cream, and tan/orange combinations, giving plenty to choose from. A little detail which may get overlooked initially is the PORTER woven label, coordinated to match the color of the canvas body.

American Giant Sweatshirts

I read about these sweats a while ago in an American magazine but completely forgot all about them, who stated that these are the ‘best made in America sweatshirts’ ! Its all about the quality and fit for American Giant, a small company from San Francisco. The brand only sells long-lasting basic sweatshirt styles, all handmade in America. American Giant doesn’t have stand alone stores and spends nothing on marketing, focusing instead on old-fashioned excellence. (Unlike a certain hipster favourite of coloured basics who have a store on every corner of London whos prices take the piss btw)  The result is a garment that will last. For us in the UK and Europe  just contact them first for postage and hey presto a sweat for life!
