Ray-Ban Wayfarer Ice-Pop Collection

20130617-192150.jpg

Ray-Ban Wayfarers are simply the most iconic sunglasses ever. Everyone from JFK to Jay-Z has rocked a pair. They’re stylish but they’re not overpowering. But with the coloured versions I have always thought of as being a bit shit….kids at festivals and the Ting Tings did that for me!!! But I kind of like these ice versions. Choose from six different translucent colours that all give off a refreshing summer feel. They’ll be available to purchase later this month

Oakley x Eric Koston Tortoise Frogskins Sunglasses

20120625-083149.jpg

I wore Oakley Frogskins the first time round so when they got on the hype bus a couple of summers ago they didn’t float my boat in the rainbow of colours that were available but now they have had a tasteful remix via skateboarding legend Eric Koston. Part of Koston’s new Signature Series for Oakley, the shades get a much needed upgrade with a new and classic look in brown tortoise.

Ray-Ban Folding Wayfarer

20120412-092643.jpg

I buy and get given a lot of sunglasses but not matter how much I like them I always go back to my Wayfarers not because for the last god knows how many summers they have been the choice shape for the scenesters but because they are iconic. The Ray-Ban Wayfarer has been around since 1952, featuring a distinct shape that’s enjoyed waves of popularity throughout its history — highlighted by peaks in the ’50s and ’80s and obviously the last couple of seasons. It’s hard to improve on a classic, but Ray-Ban has reworked the style with discreet hinges at the arms and bridge that allow the frame to be folded up into an ultra-compact form for easy stowing. The shades, in the traditional black or tort with the instantly recognizable Ray-Ban logo on the sculpted temple…perfect to put in your pocket when that day session turns into night as well because no one likes a twat in a club wearing sunglasses!
