Passarella Death Squad x Penthouse

14-01-2015_passarelladeathsquadxpenthouse_brettrossitee_white_1I first come in contact with Passarella Death Squad in around 2008 when I saw a t-shirt print of half naked girls convorting with Big Ben (The clock!) since then they have taken us on a journey fron scantly clad women to vintage arcade games..now they have teamed up with storied men’s lifestyle magazine (Jazz Mag!) Penthouse to produce a limited number of prints, based on David Cronenberg’s Videodrome. The deeply unsettling film explores the darker corners of sexuality in the information age, and these prints owe their grainy affect to its exploitative VHS aesthetic. With models taken from the Penthouse archive, the images are perfectly clipped which ooze 80’s cool. Available now…there also will be an exhibition showcasing the prints so keep your peepers out here for more info asap.

neil-barrett-white-darth-yoda-t-shirt-1

British fashion designer Neil Barrett appeases to those out there that are both fans of fashion and science-fiction with the Neil Barrett White Darth Yoda T-shirt. Using the classic white tee as a canvas, Barrett prints a split-tear graphic featuring Star Wars‘ fictional characters representing the polar opposites in the good-vs-bad spectrum of the franchise’s universe: Darth Vader and Yoda. Keeping things clean save for the T-shirts title and “Neil Barrett” text on the back, the White Darth Yoda T-shirt will have you prepped early for this year’s Episode VII – The Force Awakens release in December

Burro No Alla Violenza T-shirts

BigBall300-760x1024

The first No Alla Violenza t-shirts were designed in late 1989, to promote a peaceful world cup for Italia 90. Initially some retailers rejected them on the grounds that the message was ‘too deep’, however they were soon stocked by shops like Duffer of St George, Bond, Geese, Psyche, Hip and Well Gosh and over the next few months everyone was wearing them. The anti hooigan message was taken up not only by serious football fans but all the cool club people as well, by the end of 1990 they were the must have item.  They have been re-released for Brazil and available here

Maison Martin Margiela Flocked T-Shirt

Margiela Flocked T-shirtTrompe l’oeil (an art technique that creates optical illusions) is one of Maison Martin Margiela‘s favourite techniques, an effect which encapsulates the sense of duality that the label is famed for. Upon first glance, this white cotton-jersey T-shirt appears to have a broken blue digital print, but it’s in fact a lightly textured flocked fabric.

Givenchy Oversized Flower & Camo Paneled T-Shirt

Givenchy goes all in with an oversized T-shirt featuring every notable print from the ongoing spring/summer season. Certain to be divisive, different versions of camo are set against multiple floral prints, creating one of the most striking pieces we’ve seen so far from the French fashion house headed by Riccardo Tisci.

Valentino Uomo Pop-Up Store, ISETAN

valentino-uomo-pop-up-store-isetan-shinjuku-mens-1Valentino builds upon its newfound appreciation for camouflage with a special capsule collection with retailer ISETAN in the Shinjuku ward of Tokyo. The Italian brand diverts from the original intention of the camo print by mixing in bright neon colors for a unique contrast that proves to be simple, yet refreshing. The three-part range includes a lightweight nylon hooded parka, T-shirt and pair of sneakers, each of which will be available in store later this week.
