NOWHERE and A Bathing Ape present “BAPELAND,” an exhibition held in NIGO‘s former home and studio in Tokyo. Considered the heart and soul of the brand, NIGO’s former studio served as a repository for the vast trove pop-culture pieces the designer has accrued throughout his life. For the brand’s 20th anniversary, it has decided to open up the studio to let fans get a closer look at this treasure chest of good. The exhibition includes iconic BAPE pieces, cars, furniture, art, jewelry and much more. “BAPELAND” is running from now until November 24 in Tokyo so if you happen to be in the area, be sure to check it out.

Fred Perry x A Bathing Ape 60th Anniversary Capsule Collection

Fred Perry continues to celebrate its 60th anniversary and has now teamed up with A Bathing Ape on a few pieces. The logos, the two brands, it all sounds great and promising. Imagining the Bape head logo next to the Laurel logo of Fred Perry on their classic polo shirts is a great combo and at first it looks like that is what they did  unfortunately I dont like at all…just as I thought the Stussy Colab a couple of years ago wasnt the George (best) either when will huge brands realise thats sometimes less is more…What do you guys think?

A Bathing Ape 2012 BAPE LEOPARD Collection

Utilizing a strong, prominent theme, A Bathing Ape unveils their BAPE LEOPARD collection. Harnessed over such items as the SHARK FULL ZIP HOODIE, DOWN JACKET, BD SHIRT, ARMY SHIRT, LEOPARD SNAPBACK and two stylish and animal-inspired pieces of footwear, the range is both cohesive and indicative of past, daring offerings. Expect to see the BAPE LEOPARD collection at select international A Bathing Ape locations.
