O-Ballou-Fall-2014-Pieces-3-960x640

Having admired UK-based O Ballou from afar through various well put together campaigns and films we get a chance to see the clothing up-close. Living up to their beautiful branding, Winter sees a selection of Monochrome options. Crisp white shirts with pearl buttons and neat collars, cotton knit tees with clever ribbed cuff sleeves for a ’60s feel as well as their supersoft Merino crew and rollnecks, advanced knitting techniques producing a lightweight finish. Simple and perfect.

ctrl+c 2014 “Pre-Season” Collection

20140609-230034-82834426.jpg

Timely considering the start of the World Cup is just days away, the UK’s ctrl+c presents a Summer 2014 “Pre-Season” collection. Bold and assertive, the range of tees draws inspiration from the football shirts of the ’80s and ’90s for a slick combination of colorful gradients and geometric patterns – each even appropriately sports oversized versions of the faux-three-dimensional numbers that graced many a jersey during the two decades. ctrl+c’s 2014 “Pre-Season” collection can be picked up now via the label’s own web shop.

Supreme 20th Anniversary Collection

supreme-20th-anniversary-collection-2-960x640New York skate brand Supreme celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. We actually like the fact that they keep it simple for this one. They could have done a series of high profile collaborations, but we get that from Supreme basically all year already. For their 20th anniversary the brand presents a Taxi Driver-inspired graphic T-shirt, their iconic box logo T-shirt, as well as both graphics on a skateboard deck. These two T-shirts were released on opening day 20 years ago and these two will be released for the occasion. And that’s it!
The Supreme 20th anniversary collection will release at its own stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and online on April 24, and in Japan on April 26.supreme-20th-anniversary-collection-6-960x640 supreme-20th-anniversary-collection-7-960x640 supreme-20th-anniversary-collection-5-960x640 supreme-20th-anniversary-collection-3-960x640

Valentino Uomo Pop-Up Store, ISETAN

valentino-uomo-pop-up-store-isetan-shinjuku-mens-1Valentino builds upon its newfound appreciation for camouflage with a special capsule collection with retailer ISETAN in the Shinjuku ward of Tokyo. The Italian brand diverts from the original intention of the camo print by mixing in bright neon colors for a unique contrast that proves to be simple, yet refreshing. The three-part range includes a lightweight nylon hooded parka, T-shirt and pair of sneakers, each of which will be available in store later this week.

What Did You Expect?

A Bathing Ape, Supreme, HUF, Stussy, Undeafted….and pretty much every other staple streetwear brand started as humble t-shirt collections.  WDYE ‘s clean designs inspired mystery conspiracy and the unexplained made me take a second glance thats coupled with the fact it was set up & designed by fellow North East lads makes me want it succeed more than most. This week has seen their first collection go live check them out here
