Ask any guitarist what makes his Fender Strat or Gibson Les Paul Goldtop sound so good, and there’s a good chance the top answer will be “the wood.” The acoustic benefits of wood are well known, yet many audiophiles enjoy their music through headphone drivers encased in plastic and metal. Californians Joe Huff and Bridget Hilton believe that this simply won’t do, and have created a line of wood-flavored audio products to add that certain something to our personal music enjoyment. The Troubadours are over-ear headphones, and are offered in beech, cherry or ebony. (In-ear & On-ear styles are available). They sound pretty good I travel alot so noise cancelling is a must for me, but other than that these are up to a fight with my Bose QC’s and can most certainly hammer the similarly priced Beats by Dre on sound quality. Also for every pair sold a percentage of the proceeds are being donated to the Starkey Hearing Foundation by the folks at lstn, to help efforts to restore hearing to those in need. So its a win-win…definitely reccomended by me.
