Continuing on from the last project between Coca-Cola and Daft Punk, the two have worked on another limited edition project to great effect. Highlighted by 925 silver and 18k gold logo branding in addition to “Daft Punk” custom caps this makes for a very impressive outcome. Palladium has teamed up with Maharishi on a pair of Maharishi Tactical Boots. A retooled version of Palladium’s Pampa Tactical model, the boots are crafted with a combination of rubberized leather, ballistic nylon, and Dri-Lex moisture wicking lining. Meanwhile, the back panel of the boot is made with Schoeller-Dynatec material, a complex weave featuring a reflective thread that provides both superior durability and visibility — the fabric reflects back light up to 100 meters with a minimal white light source. Maharishi branding on the interior of the padded collar finish the look. The boots are available now in selected Maharishi stockists.

Long before we were nicking cars and buying hookers in Grand Theft Auto, and way before the Fifa v Pro Evo war started we were busy entertaining ourselves with pixelated bad guys, baseball diamonds and space debris. We still get a sense of nostalgia with that stuff (which is why I bought an Atari off Ebay!) even though playing those games now really, really doesnt do it for us. In fact, most of our game playing has moved off the television screen and onto a poker table, which is why for the next lad’s night we’re dealing these Space Invaders Playing Cards. This is my first post from my iPad so bare with me…here goes. For Winter 2011 Vans and Supreme hook up once again and have announced today the Flies Pack. Consisting of the Sk8 Hi (which never float my boat hence no images in this post) & Era, each sneaker comes in three colorways, featuring a mixed suede/canvas upper with a flies all-over print being featured on the canvas panels. Furthermore a Supreme print has been placed in the heel.
The sneakers will be available in-store in NY,LA,London and online on September 29th and will be available in Japan on October 1st.
A slew of unpublished products have surfaced at colette’s special exhibition and pop-up store for Terry Richardson starting today as it coincides with the photographer’s newly released book – “Mom & Dad.” Offered above is a collaborated shirt between Richardson and Diesel. In their upcoming Rizzoli publication, Def Jam Recordings: The First 25 Years of the Last Great Record Label, founders Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons catalog the progression of their humble “experimental art project” beginnings to the creation of the most influential rap labels in history. In anticipation of the duo’s forthcoming book,NOWNESS preview a few excerpts of the illustrious founders recalling their first impressions of one another in 1984. With a little help from Beastie Boys’, Adam Horovitz, the article offers a candid interaction between the label’s founders as well as an archival photo set previewing the book’s forthcoming content. A release is slated for October 11 through book publisher Rizzoli.

For the Vans California fourth quarter offerings, the label dresses the Chukka Boot in a winter sweater look in two colorways. No word on a drop but we will keep you posted on a release.
Oliver Spencer returned to the catwalk yesterday to display his upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. As a part of London Fashion Week’s menswear day, the show took place at the Mercer Street studio in Covent Garden and offered a supremely confident offering, rich with boisterous color and texture. To emphasize the appropriate season, an eclectic mix of models took the runway donning sleeveless workers jackets, cropped trousers as well as a profuse footwear selection of capped-toe oxfords and moc-toe high tops. Notably confident at the collection’s unveiling, Oliver Spencer was recently nominated for a 2011 British Fashion Award for menswear designer.
