Supreme x Stone Island Spring Summer 2015 Collection

Suprem x Stone Island Spring Summer 2015 | The Style Raconteur

This season’s Supreme x Stone Island collection is gonna hit the Italian brand’s webshop and Supreme Stores next Thursday 9th April not on just the German edition of their website as was first feared today.

Composed of two anoraks that appear to be Tela Stella, three long-sleeve tees and two caps, the collaborative goods continue the duo’s recent efforts to outfit classic pieces from the Stone Island archive with decidedly on-trend prints and patterns. While the striped tees keep things grounded, the allover paisley anoraks are sure to be one of Spring Summer 2015’s most coveted cops.

You know this is gonna be one fastest selling colabs of the year so be fast next Thursday HERE

Old school British outdoors brand Karrimor is about to suprise you. At the moment it is super under-appreciated in its home country by the fashionista who thinks its just a cheap collection which is  languishes on the rails of a certain sports retailer but when you actually step back and look at the quality and design it stands equally with any sports brand. Thats not why its going to surprise you though Autumn Winter 15 will see the launch of a new collection K100 which will including  a colab with British designer and outerwear guru Nigel Cabourn sitting at an elevated level which I will have more information on soon.

The Japaneese arm of the company have tapped into its countries appreciation of classic walking gear. Knowing that a little clever styling can go a long way in changing brand perception, the label put together a set of uncomplicated, contemporary looks for men and women. Familiar pieces from Karrimor’s archive sit beside reworked styles, the usual mix of shell jackets, rain-hats, parkas, multi-pocket trousers and performance layers utilize technical fabrics including durable, wind resistant Pertex® and the breathable cotton-like Supplex®. A top selection both in looks and spec, send out the signal to your proxy and see more from Karrimor Japan over at the website and as I said keep an eye out here for more on brands rising profile.

Canada Goose Behind The Scenes

Canada Goose | The Style Raconteur

Gear Patrol recently visited the factories of Canadian institution, Canada Goose. The outdoor imprint has dedicated itself to the craft of keeping people warm and protected since 1957. However, the brand truly defined itself for the modern era in 1972, when CEO Dani Reiss’ father David Reiss invented the down-filling machine which led to a new range of ultra-wear and now iconic jackets. Since then, the Toronto-based Canada Goose has forged ahead in maintaining a close and intimate relationship with both the product it creates and the people it protects. The brand has recently opened the doors to a new showroom, design studio and factory that enables the rapid iteration and design of new products. This close-knit approach will further build on the credibility and growth the iconic brand has had over the course of the last half century. Roux Scuro Lookbook

Untitled

The second AW14 release from Roux. focuses on the qualities of bold contrasts, drawing its inspiration from the artistic technique of Chiaroscuro, literally meaning ‘light and dark’ and how the strength of darkness often defines light. To fully appreciate the relationship, the project, shot by renowned street photograper Mr Whisper, relies entirely on the natural shadows and highlights produced by the city, with no additional lighting introduced. The continuous focus on prominent angles and obliques the environment casts is distinctive across the shoot. Consisting of a tonal black-on-black varsity jacket and shirt, tonally contrasting sweatshirts and joggers in a lighter grey marl, and three black-on-black t-shirts limited to 48 prints, the collection marks an increase in product categories since the launch in August.

Nike ‘SweatSUIT’ by Clothsurgeon

clothsurgeon-customizes-sweatsuit-with-nike-tech-pack-1

Although not an official Nike collaboration, the customized SweatSUIT by Clothsurgeon is something that can easily sit at any Nike shelf. More as a personalized project, the brand took four standard grey Nike fleece sweatpants and reconstructed them into a suit jacket and pants set, dubbed the “SweatSUIT.” The single breasted suit jacket is fully lined and features working cuffs, as well as front dual bucket pockets from the fleece pant’s original pockets. The “SweatSUIT” pants feature a single pleat and is of cropped length, while maintaining the original pant’s elastic waistband. Synonymous with fine tailoring, The Clothsurgeon “SweatSUIT” is definitely a show of skill from the brand, the only downside being that this one-off isn’t for sale.

Its getting colder unless you live in the south and you are on to the 12th indian summer/ heatwave of the the year, I live in the North and its parky outside..so its time to search for that winter jacket because the one I bought early in August to be the first to have it I’m bored of!!! So over the next couple of weeks I try and post up what I think are the ebst of the Winter. Up first is the Canada Goose Expedition Parka. Originally developed for scientists working in research facilities at McMurdo station in Antarctica, the Expedition Parka is one of our most iconic, warmest and durable parkas. It features a highly functional collection of external pockets, perfect for easy gear storage (not that ‘gear’ I mean phone ect!) and hand warming. Everything feels heavy-duty and ‘proper’ with this jacket. Finished with flexible rib-knit cuffs which storm flap over front zipper to complete they closure to the cold.  Available here
