In its fourth season now, we take a look at the new DKNY for Opening Ceremony Fall/Winter 2014 Collection. Heavily inspired by 90s hip hop, the golden era, the collection was once again curated by downtown stylist Jay Massacret and offers a set of bold looks, using large DKNY Athletic logos and lots of metallic silver. Archive DKNY pieces are recreated and come back with a modern touch in this popular capsule for both men and women.

Celebrating their year in Belgium, Opening Ceremony has partnered up with the Magritte Foundation to create a unique project to feature some “wearable art” using the iconic Vans Authentic low top as their canvas. The project is a nod to one of the country’s most famous and greatest artists, Rene Magritte, and displays five of Magritte’s pieces of surrealist art, including The Blow to the Heart, Good Connections, The Ladder of Fire, Sheherazade, and The King’s Museum. Aside from the all-over artwork, each pair sees a crisp white midsole with blue piping and a set of white laces to match. Following last season’s ode to swimming and cycling, Opening Ceremony again looks to dual inspiration to reinterpret adidas Originals classics – this time focusing on running and tennis as design touchstones to produce pieces inspired by the prints and bright colorways of the 1990s. Today marks the official announcement and debut of the DKNY and Opening Ceremony collaboration for Spring/Summer 2013. With an undeniable design aesthetic pulled from 90s hip-hop/sportswear culture, monochromatic pieces include tees, pants, jumpsuits, hooded sweatshirts and more. In speaking about the project Carol Lim commented, “DKNY was a pioneer of streetwear fashion in the Nineties. We have been longtime fans of the brand and were very excited to bring back select, quintessential styles that feel fresh even today.” The entire range of products that make up the collaboration can be purchased online for between $145-$315 USD
