Every summer when we are waiting for the new football season to start enjoyment is to be had in the releases of all teams new kits…(apart from the year my own team brought a shitty red checked one out!) and the World Cup kits are the same. Nike has just unveiled England‘s new home and away kits ahead of the team’s campaign at this year’s World Cup in Brazil. The new kits pack the latest in technical innovations from Nike while sticking to an aesthetic inspired by classic England kits of the past and St. George’s cross. The all-white home kits are a direct reference to the ones worn by England in the 1970 World Cup in Mexico and feature an engineered pinstripe in the fabric, white satin tape on the shoulders and a subtle metallic weave on the Three Lions crest. The away kit plays up the national symbols of England and features a subtle, tonal pinstripe design with a graphic interpretation of St. George’s cross on the front that can only be seen when viewing the jersey from a distance. The away kit also features a unique treatment that makes it come to life under UV light. Look for the new kits on the backs of the England players when the team takes to pitch in Brazil.

For Spring Summer 2014, renowned British outerwear brand Baracuta is teaming up with a selection of high-profile Japanese retailers for a refreshed take on the iconic Baracuta G9 Jacket. The joint venture with Barneys Tokyo yields a woodland camo print edition complemented with navy blue ribbing at the cuffs and waist. Built with a lightweight nylon taffeta shell, the jacket features a standing collar, slant pockets with button-through flaps and zip-front closure. Signature original Fraser Tartan lining rounds out the details. The Barneys Tokyo x Baracuta G9 Jacket is available now through Barneys online store, as well as Baracuta’s webstore for stateside customers.
Based out of Lübeck, Germany, illustrator and graphic designer Zhi-Yun Zhang reimagined a number of musical icons as our most beloved cartoon characters with pretty awesome results. Yeezy for instance takes the form of Porky Pig, while the Bawse finds his alter ego in Spongebob’s dimwitted and equally massive homie Patrick. Nike continues to roll out new iterations of its iconic Air Max 1 sneaker, with this Spring 2014 release appropriately landing during the week of “Air Max Day.” This version features a large perforated mesh upper complemented by tight-knit mesh fabric on the lower part, while a tape Swoosh and detailing provides a modern feel. Three colourways include a season appropriate orange/white/pink, and more muted purple/white/grey and dusty red/grey. Look for the new season’s offerings to drop at Nike Sportswear retailers in the coming weeks.
This is an amazing new model from Swiss watchmaker OMEGA. The Speedmaster Apollo 11 45th Anniversary which commemorates the first lunar landing and celebrates its link to the iconic chronograph that was part of the adventure. Features include a black PVD dial produced using a special laser which creates the design elements on the watch’s face by removing the material surrounding the name, sub-dial numerals and hour markers. Limited to 1,969 pieces.

Building upon the success of the recently released LEGO movie, the Danish toy company treated four famous fashion designers with a brick makeover. The set of figurines comprises Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz, Marc Jacobs and Karl Lagerfeld, and was created exclusively for Harper’s Bazaar. According to the magazine, matching ateliers and a LEGO-fyed entourage are sold separately. No word yet on when and where the sets will be available or if they will even see a general release at all.
