COMME des GARCONS PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star’ 70

Continuing their successful collaboration, PLAY COMME des GARCONS and Converse will release the Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 this month. Both high top and low top versions of the sneaker will be offered in black and off-white. The heart logo of the brand is now much bigger on the new footwear range, and cut off by the midsole. The COMME des GARCONS PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star’ 70 will be launched exclusively at Dover Street Market London, Dover Street Market New York and COMME des GARCONS New York on May 14. On May 15 the sneakers will launch at all other COMME des GARCONS stores.

Simeon Georgiev Adorns LEGO Figures with Streetwear

Being that the realm of fashion is fixated on offbeat collaborations, have you ever wondered what you happen if your beloved childhood toymaker partnered with your favorite clothing brand? Acting on his own curiosity, graphic illustrator Simeon Georgiev created 3D renderings of LEGO figures sporting a few streetwear brands that currently grace his closet, including Supreme, Hood By Air and Boy London. BLACK COMME des GARCONS x Nike Blazer Low Premium CDG SP

This is for me..The new collaboration between BLACK COMME des GARCONS and Nike. As usual the Japanese brand kept the aesthetics very clean and subtle. For its BLACK COMME des GARCONS line it chose to work on the Nike Blazer Low Premium. It comes in a black suede version with premium leather Swoosh, black outer sole and lining. The only thing standing out is the white “CDG” logo placement on the heel. Furthermore both brand logos are featured on the black in-sole.

Comme des Garcons SHIRT Baseball Shirt

I really like this COMME des GARCONS SHIRT classic baseball shirt, its very clean & crisp…perfect for the Summer. Obviously inspired by the short-sleeve jerseys worn on baseball diamonds across the world, this casual menswear take on the piece features cotton poplin construction and subtle details like pleats at the back yolk, dropped shoulders, a curved hem and a single breast pocket.

Tricker’s x Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN Wingtip Sneaker

Comme des Garcons have teamed up again with Tricker’s to great effect with the stand out designer Junya Watanabe working on another great rendition of this wingtip sneaker. Not for the first time have we seen this model come out, although this fall we can enjoy a new pallet of colors applied to the 4-hole wingtip suede design. With the classic welted sole replaced with a white rubber tennis sneaker styled sole it makes for a more subdued look

Supreme x Comme des Garcons SHIRT Collection

Once in a while, there will be a project that presents a paradigm shift for the industry as a whole. For Spring 2012, this collaboration between Supreme and COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT will be that project for the so-called street wear genre. Established back in 1973 by Japanese designerRei Kawakubo, COMME des GARÇONS (“Like Boys” in French) and its various subsidiaries have redefine fashion with its penchant for avant-garde silhouettes and styling found on the streets of Tokyo.

In its continue pursue of this hodgepodge concept of low-brow styles and couture designs, COMME des GARÇONS opened London’s highly successful Dover Street Market in 1988. It became the first few retail locations in Europe to offer Supreme products as well. In honoring this decades long partnership, both designed an exclusive capsule collection for the soon to open Dover Street Market Ginza. Comprised of button-down shirts, camp cap, VANS SK8-Hi, and VANS Era, all made to COMME des GARÇONS’ specifications. In addition, the collection includes hooded sweatshirts and tees in CDG’s signature polka-dot graphics via all-over print pattern.

All, except for the VANS editions, will be available at Dover Street Market Ginza during its opening this Friday, March 16th. The collection will also be available at Supreme retail locations in New York, Los Angeles, London, Japan, and its online store on the same day. Check out some of the collection below
