Highlights for me are the animal print tees and the extra special ‘Open Rev Shirt’ more of a overshirt than a shirt with curved placket finished in brushed cotton twill a snip at 85 of your hard earned. Acronym’s Fall/Winter ’11 line has just hit the shelves and as you would expect the collection is exceedingly functional and immaculately crafted. The jackets utilize fabrics like Gore-Tex Proshell, Epic Cotton, Schoeller, and Brugnoli Loopwheeled fleece in their sweaters and sweatpants. More looks after the jump. Link
I remember buying my first pair of Maharishi Sno Pants way back when Nike Rifts were cool and I worn Aquasocks around the streets…Now Maharishi are again bubbling on the cusp of being one of the coolest and innovative streetwear labels out there once again.
Maharishi presents their Autumn Winter 2011 collection, a modern Special Forces inspired range entitled ‘Into The Light:Survival 2012’. The team have utilized a high tech webbing and other technical details, focusing on protection and function for an urban environment. This season we see the use of Swiss riri waterproof zips as well as many Swiss made fabrics “including the densely woven naturally waterproof organic cotton ETA, Schoeller cloth with anti-abrasion Kevlar fibres, alongside more elaborate pieces in several types of 3M reflective material which only turn on when exposed to direct white light; incorporated within construction thread, cloth, print ink and embroidery threads. maharishi has long produced all its jersey and sweat in Organic yarn, and this season many of the wovens are also organic.” Available now here
Stone Island is up once again for another innovative presentation with this new video featuring the latest Liquid Reflective Jacket. (5515 45644) It’s perhaps the most anticipated piece of this season’s collection The AW11 version uses the new version of the reflective process which gives the unique ‘liquid’ finish. Thousands of glass micro spheres are sprayed onto the jacket, which is then baked to set the colour, and the reflective properties into the jacket.
The official word is… ‘Through rigorous experimentation, research and design, the sophisticated approaches that were applied to this advanced jacket is a continuation from previous implementations of liquid reflective technology. This new offering however still garners all signature technical compositions along with several added aspects that put the outerwear in a league of its own’.
All in all Stone Island have again cemented themselves as the market leader in outerwear! Both Cruise & Van Mildert will have it online very soon.

I know its only August but looking out of the window it looks like November so it’s time to start hunting out that winter coat..and there isn’t many better examples out there than this CP Company Pea Coat.
