adidas by Pharrell Williams Superstar Supercolor

Following a preview in last month’s issue of L’Officiel Hommes Italia, adidas Originals and Pharrell officially unveil their massive Superstar Supercolor pack. In total, the classic silhouette is redone in 50 different colorways, spanning the majority of the color spectrum. Describing the pack, Pharrell offers, “Supercolor is a celebration of equality through diversity. With 50 colors of the Superstar, everybody will be able to select his or her color. It is more diverse than any pack ever before and therefore it is more individual than any pack ever before.”

Four brand new Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith colorways are set to be released this spring. The tonal collection is compromised of a sky blue, red, coral pink, and charcoal pair of the classic adidas silhouette. Each sneaker sports a premium leather upper, rubber outsole, white adidas branding, and a perforated “R” centered on the shoe’s body in place of the traditional adidas Three Stripes. adidas Originals Consortium x UNDFTD x Maharishi Capsule Collection

As part of the limited adidas Originals Consortium umbrella, the three present an exclusive capsule collection this season. The collection includes the adidas Originals Jabbar Hi and ZX 5000 sneakers, as well as collaborative t-shirt. The silhouettes of camouflage patterns, an expertise of Maharishi, have been printed all over on the two sneakers, resulting in an eye-catching, yet subtle overall appearance. Both sneakers also carry the logos of the two involved brands. adidas Originals introduces the “Sneaker Boutique” pack comprised of the Honey 2.0, two pairs of the ZX 500 and Bankshot 2.0. Across the four sneakers we see a pseudo elephant print adorning each pair in varying degrees of subtlety. The Honey 2.0 makes the most use of the pattern while the dual ZX 500s feature the print as contrast.

The adidas Originals HVLS Runs EQT pack presents reissues of the EQT Running Support 93 and EQT Running Cushion 92 models, both using an injected EVA outsole with TORSION® for enhanced midfoot support. The EQT Running Support 93 has been revived in its much-loved original tent green colorway, complete with classic wrap-around tongue and authentic supportive tech details. Alongside it, the EQT Running Cushion 92 takes on a flipped tribe blue archive colorway with all its iconic original specifications. JS Rod Laver Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott

adidas-originals-by-jeremy-scott-js-rod-laver-01Normally Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals is way out there for me…most (all) of his creations are not for me…but these are quite intresting. The leather upper embossed with reptilian pattern came first, followed by an embellishment of metallic gold foil with enough “bling factor” to outshine Mr. T’s chains but not to be deemed unwearable. Like his other adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott designs, the bad boy of fashion added a Winged S lace lock as his signature.

This season, the Kazuki Kuraishi-designed line features adidas Originals’ ZX 500 Trail, Tech Super 2.0 and CNTR Weld silhouettes. The ZX 500 Trail boasts a navy upper with white polka dots and a chunky, off-white midsole with a rugged black outsole. The Tech Super 2.0 goes for a hunting-inspired combination of brown and orange across the upper with an off-white midsole and black outsole. Finally, there is the CNTR Weld, which features a seamless, welded black upper with white polka dots and an off-white midsole. Alongside a tonal blacked-out version of the contemporary design is a lightning bolt-printed model, as well as the first offering of the ZX FLUX Weave –
a design that boasts a tightly woven version of the ZX FLUX upper and, in this case, a contrasting white outsole.
