Nike ACG Air Moc 1.5 Winter 2011

New from Nike ACG comes a solid and versatile colorway of one of their quirkier shoes: the Air Moc 1.5. Combining aesthetics from ACG and sportswear models, the Air Moc is a rather futuristic-looking slip-on bootie comprised out of a textured neoprene upper and complete with a thick, white sole and high-tech details throughout. As a 2011 Fall release, the kicks will be available soon. LINK

Nike ACG Moc

Nike has unveiled a new version of their slip-on Air Moc as part of their ACG collection. The Nike Air Moc ACG Edition pairs a rubber sole with a quilted leather upper for relaxed refinement. The ACG logo is front and center at the tongue pull-tab, and the sock-liner features adjustable cinches at the heel if the sneaks have to become serious exercise gear in a pinch. The casual slip-on has been given a rugged rubberized sole for use outside of the house, and will be available in 2011 in black and white versions.

Nike Air Moc x Maharam

The Nike ACG Air Moc is seen here in jacquard uppers from highly-regarded textile house Maharam. The uniquely textured woven fabric is applied to the classic 90’s outdoor silo in a choice of Red Plum or Spice. The Smoke coloured full length Air midsole completes the design. Releasing in August 2010 at select Nike Sportswear stores.

Nike ACG Air Moc

First released in 1994, the Nike ACG Air Moc is set to return later this summer. I remember getting an imported pair of these in the summer of 1994 and was shouted at by a group of less concerning sneaker connoisseurs ‘Oi mate what the f*$k are they Nike Air Hot Potato’! still one of my favorite put downs. Today’s version comes in three colour options – brown, black and grey – each with unique leather-wrap laces, full length Air midsole and the smooth, round look that made it successful on it’s original release. Look for these in June.
