adidas Originals ZX 25th Anniversary Pack

adidas Originals‘ ZX line celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and to celebrate the popular, but discontinued series, the brand has released a “25th Anniversary” pack consisting of three well-known silhouettes. Comprised of the ZX 5000, 8000 and 9000, the range features three unique, neck-breaking color schemes that playfully invert the original colourways. Each pair features premium suede uppers with nylon underlays, foam midsoles and rubber outsoles that make these especially appealing casual options for the coming season.

Adidas Originals ZX FLUX Spring Summer 2014 Collection

ZX FLUX Base Elements | The Style Raconteur

When it was first released in 1989, the ZX 8000 shoe was more than just a new shoe. Part of the pioneer ZX Family, it was a calculated step forward that captured the hearts of dedicated athletes and street-level casuals the world over. The true impact of the ZX 8000 shoe, however, was its larger than life looks. The OG Aqua colourway took the sneaker community by storm with contrast violet panels and lemon yellow 3-stripes, and the iconic outsole tooling left a mark that continues to resonate today. Built for the trendsetters looking to turn heads, the shoe would make regular returns throughout the 90s in bold colourways that were consistent in setting the streets alight.

25 years on, the ZX 8000 shoe is a testament to the style-conscious creativity & relentless passion that first brought it to the streets, while the ZX fusion of innovative new technology and instinctively clean aesthetics continues to create shoes that leave lasting impressions. In the next-generation ZX FLUX, the ZX 8000 shoe’s formula takes a brand new direction that strips the excess to the strictly essential.  From the legacy of a futuristic silhouette that dared to be different, the new ZX FLUX offers understated style that’s ready to perform – a blank canvas, which adidas have taken full advantage of…starting in February we have the first drop of the Base Elements pack which includes my fav of the whole collection which has a lightening pattern (check my instagram for a on feet image..here) then April with three packs set to drop. Photo Print, Flux Weave & the Base pack which features six colourways three neons and three subtle’s. Check out all the styles below and let me know what you think.

adidas Originals 2014 ZX FLUX

adidas Originals revives a vault classic in the form of the ZX FLUX for 2014. The new model is actually a reference to the revered ZX8000 silhouette from 25 years prior, which was one of the first adidas runners to integrate SoftCell heel technology, a Torsion split sole, and a heel cage into one complete model. Despite all its successes, adidas thought it proper to update the ZX8000 for the modern times. Accordingly, the ZX FLUX strips away all the external bells and whistles of the past model, leaving an understated, smooth casual shoe for the next generation. Enjoy the preview video link below, then be sure to look for the ZX FLUX at adidas Originals retailers in the coming weeks.

Adidas Originals ZX 500 OG for United Arrows

Adidas Originals recently released the ZX 500 in an original colourway of the 1986 era runner. Next up for the sneaker is a United Arrows exclusive release, accented with green in white and grey. A release date is for the 2nd of May.

Adidas Consortium ZX 500

Although sometimes a little confusing, one of the upcoming adidas Consortium releases is one to look out for. Not only did they rebuild the ZX 500, presenting it in its original shape and specs, it will now also return in its OG 1984 colorway. A runner that you can simply not go wrong with. Look out for a release soon.

Adidas ZX8000

A truly stunning version of this classic Adidas running style. The ZX8000 retains its trademark Torsion system sole unit for maximum comfort, with premium leather and mesh uppers. Executed in the unique color-combination of white, purple, & their so-called ‘super’ green, this is a nod to Adidas classic sneaker heritage.
