Now known as VANS MC, the updated designs include suede nubuck upper, a reflective tongue with Supreme’s logo in script form, and the ubiquitous vulcanized waffle outsole. This is one of the coolest cars I have seen, its up for sale and it was owned by Mr Steve McQueen . The 1953 Siata 208/S Spider. With Monterey Car Week rapidly approaching, this makes for exciting news for car enthusiasts. i-D Magazine celebrate its 30th Birthday, with a special 3 cover issue, all shot by Nick Knight, and based on the theme THEN, NOW AND NEXT, the cover’s star, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Lady Gaga. 30 years in this industry is no mean feat!
“30 years – whoosh, more than an instant in i-D’s lifeline – it’s a generation. Three decades to be celebrated and contained in this special issue. The whole issue was created by Nick Knight 200 portraits that SHOWstudio made at the close of 2009 in Somerset House – once the home of British passports, now the central location for British Fashion Week. Nick’s celebration of identity was also a commemorative project inspired by the 5th birthday issue of i-D, where 100 portraits were featured in The Grown Up Issue. 25 years on, the gallery selection grew to 200. Happy birthday!” Terry Jones, Editor-in-Chief, i-D
Stone Island and Acronym designer Errolson Hugh continue to work together on the Stone Island Shadow Project Collection. Here we give you a look at what the line has to offer for Autumn/Winter 2010. The collection looks so simple, yet every piece has as you should well know by know, its hidden secrets and technical details. Next to shirts, pants and jackets, the line also presents a messenger bag and a waist bag this season. I hear on the grape vine that Van Mildert will have there collection very soon.

These bullet-proof looking puffy vests first made a splash when preview images debuted on WWD back last November, drawing an almost audible sigh simultaneously from different corners of the world, lamenting, “Why aren’t these already on racks so I can wear them now?” Sure, the weather may not be in favour for these quilted, puffy numbers created by Pharrell Williams with Italian down company, Moncler, at the moment, but to avoid further disappointment, we would really suggest ushering them into your closet space as soon as possible once they hit the racks.
This collaborative collection between Pharrell and Moncler comes as a great, urban follow up to Moncler’s recent onslaught of collaborative projects with labels such as Thom Browne, Sacai, and visvim. In Pharrell’s tough urban aesthetics, he drew inspiration from the military-styled bulletproof vest and added a “forest” print lining inspired by Keita Sugiura’s work. These vests have also been crafted from Bionic Yarn, a three-year old textile company owned by Pharrell which makes yarn out of recycled plastic bottles.
The vests will be making a guest appearance at colette alongside Pharrell and Remo Ruffini, founder of Moncler. We are not sure if the vests will be on sale, but we are quite certain more information will be available at the event to be held at colette this coming Thursday, June 24 at 6pm. Keep your eyes peeled
