British fashion designer Neil Barrett appeases to those out there that are both fans of fashion and science-fiction with the Neil Barrett White Darth Yoda T-shirt. Using the classic white tee as a canvas, Barrett prints a split-tear graphic featuring Star Wars‘ fictional characters representing the polar opposites in the good-vs-bad spectrum of the franchise’s universe: Darth Vader and Yoda. Keeping things clean save for the T-shirts title and “Neil Barrett” text on the back, the White Darth Yoda T-shirt will have you prepped early for this year’s Episode VII – The Force Awakens release in December

‘Star Wars’ in Real Life by Thomas Dagg

Reminiscing on his childhood, Canadian photographer Thomas Dagg has inserted popular elements from the Star Wars franchise into modern urban landscapes by using forced perspective to turn his childhood toys into realistic additions to his black-and-white photos. To do this, he used different focal lengths to shoot the real life shots and 5-inch toys so that they matched perspectives and angles. In an interview with PetaPixel, Dagg went into detail about his approach:

“I ended up shooting all the toys etc on neutral grey so I could take the shadows and blend it in using soft light or overlay modes. It would only really work if the seamless ended up being the perfect density, but it saved me so much time painting in shadows etc.”

“Shooting them imperfectly was actually rather freeing,” he explains. “I’d pull my phone out of my pocket and shoot the scene super quickly a few times in order to get what my natural ‘snapshot’ imperfect framing that I’d then match with my camera.”

“I wanted to feel like these could actually happen,” he adds. “Since in my head at 8 they definitely did.

Designer and illustrator Nick Agin worked on a personal project, exploring the iconic Star Wars film characters. The outcome is a great series of illustrations, inspired by the style that old American presidents were drawn in. Included in the line-up are of course Vader, Yoda, 3-CPO and the Stormtrooper next to a few others.

Star Wars By Evian Concept | By Mandy Brencys

If watching the complete Star Wars saga on Blu-ray has taught us anything, it’s that the classic films’ beloved characters would look great as design concepts on special bottles of Evian water. Fortunately for us, art student Mandy Brencys took the fanciful notion and made it into reality by actually designing glass bottles of Evian to resemble C-3P0, Chewbacca, R2-D2, Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper. Part of a student design project, these Evian bottles sadly won’t be coming to a store near you, nor to ones in galaxies far, far away. We just hope Mandy’s instructors at Hamburg’s Miami Ad School gave her extra points for not including any characters from the prequel trilogy.

Star Wars x Moleskine

There is probably no other movie which has garnered the cult status as much as Star Wars and they have teamed up with Moleskin on a limited range of notebooks. It will be a tough decision to choose between the Dark Side and the Rebel Alliance notebooks but perhaps the final choice will be dictated by your purpose. Ruled Notebooks are reserved for the Empire and it is decorated in silver color, while the Plain Notebook represents the Rebel Alliance and it features gold details. Both notebooks come in two sizes and they are already available at Moleskin online store and participating retailers.
