Supreme x Nike SB GTS

Nike x Supreme GTS Collection | The Style Raconteur

As shown in the latest installment of Japanese footwear magazine SHOES MASTER Vol. 23, Supreme offers an exclusive look at their upcoming collaboration with Nike SB as they reveal their iteration on the dated GTS model. Popular amongst skateboarders in the early 90s and having been originally released as a tennis shoe under the Nike Sportswear division, the vulcanized low-tops come equipped with herringbone uppers in black, white, yellow and red with a denim option available in a mid-blue chambray. The shoes bear a calligraphic Supreme logo embroidered across their heel-counters with Nike branding being reserved to the leather heel-tab, tongue and miniaturized swoosh which has become a familiar detail to the GTS model.

The collaboration is expected to release late May of this year  and will be available directly from Supreme.

Adidas Skateboarding Busenitz ‘Copa Mundial’

adidas-skateboarding-busenitz-copa-mundial-02-570x380In anticipation for the World Cup later this year, adidas continues to put a focus on football (the European kind), even if it means putting a focus on skateboarding along the way. The most recent example is the excellent new Busenitz “Copa Mundial”, which takes Dennis Busenitz‘s signature model, (which admittedly was already influenced by the Copa Mundial boot), and putting even more emphasis on the beautiful game, with a black leather upper that wouldn’t look out of place on the pitch. White accents and a white rubber outsole round out the package, which is available now at select retailers

Considered to be one of the greatest SB Dunk themes of all time, the infamous croc-embossed black paneling is paired up with aqua blue leather and mesh yet again for what is sure to be one of the year’s top releases.

With under two weeks left before their release there is still no definite news on a UK release (February 8), so at the moment expect to see these at Nike for $108 stateside

Diamond x Nike SB Dunk Low Tiffany Kids

20120909-085629.jpg

Back in 2005, Nike and Diamond Supply Co. collaborated to make one of the most sought-after and epic Dunks ever made. Alongside their Tiffany green upper, for which they received their name, the Tiffany Dunk featured a great black alligator-esque material that sneaker-heads could not get enough of. With only 4,000 pairs released, these sneakers sold out instantly but can still be found on ebay for exuberant prices.

Now, a whopping seven years later, family man and owner of Diamond, Nick Tershay has received the ultimate gift from Nike; A single pair of Tiffany Dunks for his daughter. Easy the coolest kid on the block.

Nike SB x Levis ??

More than just a mere photo, this patch is worth a thousand words. On the familiar Levi’s Two Horse patch and next to patent granted date of May 20th, 1873 is an unfamiliar addition, the Nike Swoosh. Already seen through various leaked images, including one by Nike SB team member Omar Salazar, the patch heralds the secretive denim collaboration between Nike SB and Levi’s More information to come as the collection’s release date approaches. For now we can only speculate what the collaboration will encompass of. Maybe a pair of denim Nike SB Dunk? Or Nike Jeans??? Hope it not the latter note Adidas attempt at jean!!
