In celebration of Porter‘s 50th anniversary last year, the eyewear specialists at Oliver Peoples have teamed with the Japanese label to create a line of travel-friendly foldable sunglasses. Rendered in acetate, with titanium parts in a spectrum of five original colors, the frames are made in Japan from premium Japanese and Italian materials. More importantly, the sunglasses are all folding sunglasses. This being a joint effort with Porter, each pair also comes complete with a Porter-made neoprene sleeve that keeps your precious specs in good nick and makes for easy transport.
HEADPORTER is launching a new range of bags called the Regatta Series. These bags feature a distinct two-tone break up on the exterior made from heavy canvas and tarpaulin. Consisting of three classic silhouettes – tote bag, shoulder bag, and bonsack – with all of the models produced in at least two color schemes. There is the brown/blue, beige/yellow, khaki/cream, and tan/orange combinations, giving plenty to choose from. A little detail which may get overlooked initially is the PORTER woven label, coordinated to match the color of the canvas body.
As part of their new Holiday 2011 collaboration, A Bathing Ape and Porter present the 1st Camo Camera Bag. The mid-size shoulder bag is made for you to carry and protect your DSLR camera, extra lenses and all accessories. It comes in two versions of the iconic Bape 1st camo design and is now available from Bape Stores.
A Bathing Ape and Japanese bag manufacturer Porter will once again collaborate to bring us a new camo themed collection. Bape has chosen the Tanker, Porter’s number one selling model, as the base for this range. Included will be shoulder, waist, helmet and day bags, along with two wallet designs. Each style of bag will be available in a jacquard black camo, a jacquard ABC OD camo and the famous 1st green camo.
After a previous collection of more casual and street-minded bag offerings, Margaret Howell and Porter take things along a more refined route with the creation of this Cotton Canvas Boston Bag. With a strong yet simple silhouette, the bag features a canvas body with brown leather detailing seen over the straps and pocket flaps. For security’s sake, the bag also includes a padlock!
I posted about these 4 weeks ago when there was one one picture kicking around now we have a more detailed look, and I personally think they have it bang on.
Another look is offered into the previously previewed Porter x adidas Originals OT Superstar 80s. Presented as a pack, the kicks are setup in a collaborative bag produced by the Japanese bag makers. Set to release soon, these mark a continued partnership between the storied sportswear label and Porter.
Porter and adidas Originals reconvene following several popular Nizza sneakers in past seasons. This time turning their focus to a jacket, the design is inspired by Porter’s signature Tanker series with a satin M-65 body with safety orange lining. Porter’s foray into apparel has been few and far between however this does join some elite company with eYe JUNYA WANTANABE COMME des GARCONS having worked together with Porter in the past. HypeBeast
