Pointer’s simplicity of the aesthetic is key in making them such a valued find. The recent announcement of a collaborative effort between the footwear brand and fashion powerhouse CDG definitely adds a level of intrigue and distinguished class to the brand and while Kawakubo designs are typically out of reach to the mainstream, this collection keeps it simple and casual. Almost too simple to be honest, as we’re missing some flair and controversy in these leather laceups and loafers based on previous Tanju, Barajas II and Angus silhouettes. Still you can’t miss the understated style that Comme des Garcons evidently brought to the table for this collaboration.
