Its getting colder unless you live in the south and you are on to the 12th indian summer/ heatwave of the the year, I live in the North and its parky outside..so its time to search for that winter jacket because the one I bought early in August to be the first to have it I’m bored of!!! So over the next couple of weeks I try and post up what I think are the ebst of the Winter. Up first is the Canada Goose Expedition Parka. Originally developed for scientists working in research facilities at McMurdo station in Antarctica, the Expedition Parka is one of our most iconic, warmest and durable parkas. It features a highly functional collection of external pockets, perfect for easy gear storage (not that ‘gear’ I mean phone ect!) and hand warming. Everything feels heavy-duty and ‘proper’ with this jacket. Finished with flexible rib-knit cuffs which storm flap over front zipper to complete they closure to the cold.  Available here

Yosuke Aizawa of White Mountaineering excels in pattern work, and we occasionally see the designer apply that expertise even on his brand’s technical outerwear. A perfect example is this lightweight mid-length parka, its cotton/polyester shell finished with an intricate art deco design. The Japanese made garment has taped seams for weather resistance, and features an adjustable hood, self-colored zip chest pocket and buttoned cuffs. Zip-front closure with snap buttons plus a center back vent round out the details.

This style of jacket has been done to death, but it has now become a staple of the street wear fraternity but these guys know their shit. In a pretty piece of perfectly planned outdoor primp paraphernalia, Stussy is making use of tried 60/40 cloth – 60% cotton and 40% nylon – which was the mainstay for the outdoor scene before technical innovation.

These jackets come in Purple/Cream, Red/Gray, and Black/Gray colourway exteriors and carry such details as brown buttons on the front closure and tone on tone Stussy embroidery on the left shoulder. Available from your local Stussy retailer.
