The Jordans Obama Got Before Anyone Else…

obama-exclusives

Remember a few weeks back when President Obama visited the Nike campus to talk about the Trans-Pacific Partnership that has caused quite the stir since? Well, as another part of the trip, the leader of the free world also received some custom sneakers. No, these aren’t your struggle NikeiD Huaraches or some shit because, again, this is the Commander-in-chief we’re talking about. Obama got laced with two new renditions of the Jordan I and Jordan XXIX and T Magazine got the exclusive look at the pairs that OB Obama might very well cross up his chief of staff in on the White House court. Though, like, you gotta let him win regardless. You can’t be out here posterizing the dude with the power to send you straight to Guantanamo. OG Nike design legends Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker, plus the Jumpman himself, Michael Jordan, teamed up to create the two pair “MTM” pack Nike is releasing in June in celebration of 30 years of the Air Jordan brand. Obviously, when you’re the goddamn president, you’re firmly team early. I mean, nobody is a bigger #influencer than the big homie.

The Jordan Is get a slick FlyWeave construction in black and grey, while the XXIXs come in smooth black leather. The sneakers will be dropping in a crazy limited two-pair pack on June 13th at NikeLab Paris and later on June 26th at Jordan Brand’s website and select Jordan outlets for a rumoured hefty £460

Two years after dropping the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG to kick off 2013, Jordan Brand is dropping the low-top version of His Airness’ original Swoosh-emblazoned low-top: the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG. Decked out in leather with a nylon tongue and sporting a Black/Varsity Red-Sail colorway, the kicks retain their classic “Nike Air” branding on the tongue and see the iconic wings logo at the heel.

Nike Free 10th Anniversary Genealogy of Free Black Pack

nike-free-10th-black-pack-2-630x419Nike continues to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Free sole technology with the release of a new “Genealogy of Free” Black Pack. The pack is a follow-up to the initial “Genealogy of Free” pack — which debuted a few weeks ago — and includes the Nike Free OG, Air Presto, Sock Racer and Free Run+ 2. In other words, it makes its way through the years of Nike Running, with some of the line’s best-loved sneakers making an appearance. All four sneakers are dressed in a tidy black colorway, with grey outsoles featuring the now-familiar black speckles. A beautiful all-round package — one which has aged incredibly well — the Black Pack will be available through select Nike retailers from April 22.nike-free-10th-black-pack-4-630x419 nike-free-10th-black-pack-3-630x419 nike-free-10th-black-pack-1-630x419

Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro “Bred” Preview

air-jordan-1-retro-bred-preview-1Soon to hit shelves is one of the most classic colorways of the shoe that started it all. Here we take another gander at the The Air Jordan 1 Retro, executed here in the iconic black/red color combination widely (and fittingly) dubbed “Bred.” Banned by David Stern and the NBA at its initial release, the “Bred” might owe part of its popularity to censorship, yet the classic simplicity of black leather around the upper and red accents make an undeniable statement. One of the more necessary re-releases of today, the sneaker will be available at fine retailers.air-jordan-1-retro-bred-preview-2 air-jordan-1-retro-bred-preview-3 air-jordan-1-retro-bred-preview-4

Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG BRED

20131015-073944.jpg

The famed BRED colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High that put Michael Jordan in violation of the 1985 NBA dress code is back this year. The kicks racked up fines and publicity for MJ and Nike and earned the silhouette and color palette a place in NBA history. The return of the OG colorway is part of Nike’s OG series that nixes the retro Jumpman style for the original Nike Air on the tongue and outsole. Check out the images and look out for the kicks to release on the 28th of December. We will keep posted with a release date confirmation as the release draws near.

The adidas Stan Smith is set to make a triumphant return this year after several seasons spent sitting on the sidelines. The Stan Smith will launch in limited numbers on September 4th looking much the same as the original. That means it will have the iconic all-white leather upper with the minimal perforated three stripes branding along with the classic green accents.
