A Look Inside Nike CEO Mark Parkers Office

a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-1The internal happenings of Nike‘s Beaverton locale are often kept to a slight whisper, which has probably contributed to the brand’s success. Remote from the bustle of R&D and beside the marketing department sits Mark Parker – CEO of Nike. I originally posted images of his office a few years again but Obscura Magazine has released a peek inside the ‘newly-redesigned’ office of “The World’s Most Creative CEO” (according to Fast Company) in their latest issue, providing a new perspective on the successful businessman. An infamous bust of Lincoln, signed Air Jordans, and an array of vintage war-era paintings create a unique aesthetic all their own, with the office seeming more like a ‘home away from home’ than a workspace in the traditional sense. Enjoy a look, then head over to SILLY THING to pick up a copy of Obscura Magazine Issue 14.a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-2 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-3 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-4 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-5 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-6 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-7 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-8 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-9 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-10 a-look-inside-nike-ceo-mark-parkers-office-11

Maxx & Unicorn Leather Notebooks

f you’re looking for a well-made notebook that you won’t want to toss out after you fill it up like something from your local office supply store, Brooklyn’s Maxx & Unicorn has you covered. They teamed up with Marilyn Glinka of Emgie Libris to create a handbound journal that’s crafted from a single piece of leather and comes in the standard black or brown, but is also available with a dark camo design if you’re looking for a bit of added style. Each is initialed and dated in the back and lined with a cloth interior. Basically, it’s a pocket notebook that urges you to take a penmanship class so you can keep it nice and pretty.

Inbox Mini Cargo Crates

Normally hearing the term “inbox” gives me a slight anxiety attack. I think of all the emails I’ve put off responding to that are now buried in a pile of spam trying to sell  “enhancement” pills, painkillers and toner cartridges. I would feel a little better about tackling that inbox if we had some Inbox Mini Cargo Crates surrounding the office desktop. I can’t explain it, but little wooden replicas are just visually appealing to us lads. These mini cargo crates are ideal for holding the billions of random pens and half-dead highlighters strewn about your desk. Each set contains 3 crates that fit inside each other like a far more rugged version of some Russian nesting doll. Check ’em out here
