Concept is the little brother of indi store Cruise…their first design collaboration is with master-shoemaker Trickers. The debut is a subtle slimmed down reworking of the classic long wing Richard & Bourton brogue. Each style has been given a unique character and name pertaining to each material used.
The “Habana” Longwing pays homage to all things Cuban (minus the ridiculous heel) constructed from rich Cuba waxed suede uppers and subtle brogue detailing. The shoe is finished off with a Barbour Welted Danite sole for added durability.
The “Aristocrat” Longwing pays homage to sartorial function and English eccentricity. Reworking the classic Richard Long Wing with a slimmed down contemporary fit they are hand made using the finest Naster Burnished calfskin and feature a bold contemporary twist in the form of a vibrant orange Itshide sole.
The “Artiste” Bourton Derby Brogue takes an obscure reference from the Sienna clay used in the production of oil paint pigments and is crafted from textured Sienna scotch grain leather and contrasting Dainite sole.
The “Highland Fox” Bourton Derby Brogue pays homage to the elusive fox of the Outer Hebrides seen here in rich coppery brown Reppelo suede.
Each style is very limited and available here

Constructing another luxurious iteration to a classic silhouette, Paris fashion house Balmain has released a Riders Jacket with tones of self-assertion. Made with meticulous detail, wrinkled lamb leather panels the sturdy black body, while frontal horizontal zips dramatize the jacket with added elegance, acting as both functional and modish designs on the grainy backdrop. The leather wrist fasteners are fetching additions to the jacket, allowing wind and weather resistance. Stylish and practical, Balmain reiterates timeless staples with innate charisma. I’ve always known that there were a bunch of options available from Levi’s for their eponymous “trucker” jacket (corduroy, collars, colours), but I didn’t know until very recently that the jacket you probably already have hanging in your wardrobe is also known as the “Type III” Jacket. Why does that little tidbit of history matter right now? Because the jacket that it’s originally based on, the Type 1, just got the Supreme treatment. Available in red, black, navy, olive and a very train conductor hickory stripe, the Type 1 is back with a slimmer, custom Supreme fit and a houndstooth lining on the inner yoke. Like the classic Type 1, there’s only one flap pocket and the waist adjuster is a slide closure. I love the stripe and the red for the summer.

Their take on the desert boot has the classic suede upper decorated with embroidered detailing that sits atop a leather and crepe sole…over the £350 mark which may stop a few purchasing though.
For his 2013 Autumn Winter collection, American-born designer Tom Ford channels quintessentially British sartorial-ism into the label’s silhouettes and designs. Assumingly inspired from his time spent living in the country, the apparent slim fitting suits and drainpipe pants, most of which come in classic check patterning, largely make up the upcoming collection while fur collar coats, understated sweaters and loud blazers are added to the mix. The looks overall tailor to the slim-fit gentleman who’ll fit right in with the mod crowd.
