Conceived and produced by creative agency Flickering Wall, “Denham Psycho” is a short film tribute to the controversial cult-classic American Psycho. Director Hugo Keijzer explains: “When I first heard Jason Denham talk about jeans it reminded me of the film’s legendary business card scene. I recognized the same manic attention to detail and ravenous appetite for craftsmanship. This triggered the idea for a modern-day remake of the scene.” According to Denham, the films reflects “the compulsive ‘otaku’ culture that tends to characterize the inner core of the denim scene.” The film was created to celebrate the kick-off event of “The Blue Yard” Denham Pop-Up Store & Cinema tonight, January 14 in Berlin. Classic outdoor clothing company Barbour has teamed up with Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida for the last time for Spring Summer 2013 Collection. The collection features ten different styles, each coming in a few colorways. A few of the standout products from the release are the Blast Jacket, Keegan Shirt, Sporting Quilt and Sharp Crew.

The watch features 5 primary features: shock resistance, water resistance (10 atmospheres), day/date indicators and an automatic function. These Seiko Military watches have casings made from high-grade stainless steel, Hardlex crystal lenses and a clear backing. Overall, the result is a beautiful watch that combines rugged functionality with effortless fashion.

Last Thursday night I had the pleasure to joining influential buyers, bloggers, and general movers and shakers from the menswear industry (don’t know why I was invited!?) to the opening of British Heritage brand, WOLSEY’s flagship store in good auld London Town.
Regular readers will know I have done a number of posts regarding Wolsey’s products, the main reason being I believe that this brand has been in hibernation for a long time, and now on the cloud of the heritage culture we have created in the industry will reach heights that it hasn’t before in its 257 years.
So then the store…. Located on Brewer Street in the heart of Soho, the store feels like Wolsey’s ethos contemporary styling of iconic classics. Brushed steel beams, exposed brick walls, aged wooden tables and original draper’s cabinets. To be honest it was totally what I expected the shop would look and thats not a criticism, it does what it says on the tin not another brand that produces a cutting edge design on the facia and interior and forgets that it no way reflects the product thats housed in it. The product, ascetics and the feel of the store perfectly fit together for me a store where you want to shop.

Wolsey is making waves at the moment, with an amazing collection this season. This sweater is a simplistic shape reworked to give a contemporary take the traditional nautical summer stripes that we see season after season. The Caesar crew neck striped sweater is a lightweight knit made in a luxurious cotton slub yarn. It is a reversed knit constructed with a raglan ‘inside out’ seam finish, roll end sleeves and neckline and finished with Wolsey’s signature 1755 branding on the sleeve. Perfect with chinos for the summer!
I have just taken delivery of a beautiful iPad case kindy sent to me by heritage brand Wolsey. Now I need to state that this is not an often occurrence getting freebies arriving on my desk. This has been weeks of me harping on at a friend who works for Wolsey to send me one! I’ve been after for sometime a case for my beloved iPad 2 that is a bit more distinguished than my current Incase one and this fits the bill perfectly. Produced in full leather and made on our beautiful shores of the UK, the Glatton Leather Tablet Case (I dont think you can officially say iPad case unless Apple say so 😉 )has been designed with utilitarian features such as an external stand flip mechanism and A5 internal pocket. The Glatton Leather Tablet Case is constructed with easy accessible device features and styled with exposed stitching to give an authentic vintage look. You and me both know this little bad boy is gonna look unreal when its worn in like all quality leather products should be. Purchase here

The Carhartt Heritage line is dedicated to Carhartt’s long history as a reputable workwear brand. The line is made of classic materials and colours to create that authentic vintage look and feel. This effect is made possible by special vintage washings and dyes only available in the Heritage line. All prints are reproductions of original graphics that honor the legacy of Carhartt Inc. workwear. Retro-style details accompanied by a special Heritage hangtag highlight the exceptional character of this line.
A replica of the brand’s first logo, a train car superimposed on a heart – Carhartt, forms the Heritage label and helps to distinguish the Heritage line from the rest of the Carhartt collection. Pants are made from original fabrics and though they are based on Carhartt’s historic work pants, the cut has been reworked to suit the contemporary consumer. Sweaters are made from classic materials and printed with traditional ink for authentic character. Vintage-style yarn sweaters and t-shirts are made from slub yarn; a special yarn produced using traditional methods. The soft, thick nubs of the yarn appear as irregularities in the woven fabric, giving it a distinctive knitted surface and retro impression. A new printing process combined with traditional textile ink re-creates the appearance of vintage prints. This way, prints are fused into the fabric and don’t have the rubbery shine of modern designs. Hems and seams are stitched in time-honored fashion, employing the same patterns and methods used fifty years ago.
