size? x ASICS Gel-Lyte 3 “Tsavorite”

size-x-asics-gel-lyte-3-tsavorite-1ASICS Tiger and size? have joined forces to produce a celebratory pair of ASICS Gel-Lyte 3 in commemoration of the sneaker’s anniversary. Drawing inspiration from the traditional 25th anniversary gift of a Tsavorite gem, the shoe sports a monochrome grey upper, outfitted with micro-perforated reflective 3M; symbolically representing the purity of the Tsavorite. Complementary colored suede paneling finishes the cohesively toned upper. Leather inner sockliner, dyed an attractive shade of emerald green represents the physical gemstone. A white midsole, sits atop a grey bottom sole, effectively completing the design of the themed shoe. Priced at £115, the anniversary kicks are set to launch this Friday, March 6 on size? online store.

Asics “Kill Bill” Gel Saga II

When Beatrix Kiddo aka “The Bride” did battle with the Crazy 88’s in Kill Bill the film went from colour to black and white because it was far too gory red for the censors. The character was rocking a yellow and black jumpsuit with matching Asics, Bruce Lee style during the scene. (Which were the very first pair of sneakers I sold on eBay.) Referencing that, Asics has hooked up a colorway of the Gel Saga II in yellow and black with a bloody red speckled midsole, which is supported by a gum ouytsole. Look for a drop in 2013

Onitsuka Tiger Monte Pokhara

Onitsuka Tiger introduces a new series of colourways for one of the brand’s older styles, the Monte Pokhara. The original Monte Pokhara model was seen in the mid 50s as an outdoor shoe. It’s mountaineering origins are evident on the profile and minimalistic design. There is something about these that I really like i thing its the high ankle opening just makes the silhouette alot better.
