Adidas Originals Micro Pacer

Back in 1984 the adidas Micro Pacer represented the cutting edge of technology. Its futuristic appeal wasn’t simply confined to the metallic leather exterior — there was a small LCD microcomputer embedded in the lace cover of the left shoe, designed to record distance covered, average pace/time and calorie expenditure, that’s connected to a movement-activated sensor in the sole unit. Technical benefits of the shoe included variable density colored panels in the sole for maximum shock-absorption to the high-impact areas of the foot. A faithful reissue of the silver 1984 adidas Originals Micro Pacer, along with a Gold/Poppy/Black style, is set to release this week.
