Stone Island has researched into impregnating waterproofing, oil-proofing and stain proofing treatments resulting in this hydrophobic treatment that is applied by dipping the garment. The structural arrangement of the molecules on the treated material means that they repel contact with water, without altering the hand of the material… Basicly speaking this lightweight jacket is manufactured from a cotton jersey fabric more commonly used for tees and sweats, which has been treated to produce a water repellent finish, whilst retaining the luxurious soft handle of the fabric.
