The latest piece from Hiroki Nakamura’s uber-label Visvim keeps up the brand’s ethic of focusing on craftsmanship, choice of materials and fine attention to detail. An update of ever popular Lamina Rucksack, the Picaro Series utilises ‘Konbu’ baked nylon; an extremely durable, lightweight material which will keep your belongings secure without feeling like you have the world on your back. The innovatively treated, over-dyed Japanese nylon is one of a number of carefully considered materials used in the rucksack’s construction.
The Picaro features contrast denim panels at the base (light wash on beige and navy colourways, dark grey on black), which makes the bag more robust, as well as adding a flash of colour. The Lamina is finished with tonal baby cord nylon panels and shoulder straps to the rear of the bag, with Swiss RIRI zips and hand sewn cow hide zip pulls used throughout. In our opinion, this is a great piece of luggage and a perfect example of Visvim’s design. Available now from Visvim stockists.
