Ben Benoliel Negative Archive

One of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and a very good friend of TSR is embarking on his (long over due may I add) first solo show at the J&A Cafe in East London, as part of the ongoing collaboration between Metro Imaging & J&A who have come together to promote and raise awareness of the best young photographic talent in the UK.

Since Ben graduated from London College of Fashion in 2007 he has gone on to produce acclaimed commercial and editorial work for both print and digital brands and publications including Nigel Cabourn, Damir Doma, Raf Simmons, i-D, Dazed & Confused, Sang Bleu, Stone Island, Passarella Death Squad, Wallpaper.com, The New Order, 1205, Billionaire Boys Club, Quotation Magazine, Toomuchposse, C.P. Company and Satyenkumar amongst others. In addition he has exhibited at The Royal Academy of Arts, Christie’s Gallery and London’s Great Eastern Hotel and currently works as in-house photographer for pioneering fashion and lifestyle website LN-CC.

He is recognised for his considered, perceptive and informal style, Ben always shoots on film using various analogue cameras which give amazing results and for a novice in photography like myself this isn’t easy as I can tell you. I’ve been with him in a dark closet in LA whilst his changes a film on a already Duc-taped up analogue camera thinking to myself that he’s gone mental, but then you can see from the results that they could only be gained through painstaking measures. Mistakes are embrace and experiments encouraged through out his work. So if you are in the area, pop by and see for yourself. Also while you are on check his blog out here
