Both Billionaire Boys Club and A Bathing Ape are definers of ‘fresh’, and when the two come together, the result is undeniable. Such is the case with the recently unveiled collaborative project between BBC and BAPE, released in continuing celebration of A Bathing Ape’s 20th anniversary. The two brands come together to not only commemorate, but also celebrate their long-standing relationship – given Pharrell Williams and NIGO started Billionaire Boys Club in 2003. Accordingly, a series of t-shirts have been released with custom graphics that overlap BBC and BAPE’s intergalactic motifs. Look for the t-shirts to drop at Billionaire Boys Club in Tokyo and selected A Bathing Ape retail locations.
NOWHERE and A Bathing Ape present “BAPELAND,” an exhibition held in NIGO‘s former home and studio in Tokyo. Considered the heart and soul of the brand, NIGO’s former studio served as a repository for the vast trove pop-culture pieces the designer has accrued throughout his life. For the brand’s 20th anniversary, it has decided to open up the studio to let fans get a closer look at this treasure chest of good. The exhibition includes iconic BAPE pieces, cars, furniture, art, jewelry and much more. “BAPELAND” is running from now until November 24 in Tokyo so if you happen to be in the area, be sure to check it out.

Japanese cult label A Bathing Ape presents the TYPE 1 BAPEX for 2013 fall/winter. A Bathing Ape has long held an affinity for authenticity and in doing so has rightfully sought out some of the industry’s best including Alpha Industries. Having been an important purveyor of combat-ready apparel, Alpha Industries’s iconic MA-1 is modified by A Bathing Ape to reflect a more fashion-forward fit with a slimmer profile. Available in both black and classic olive, the jacket is available now at select BAPE STORES around the world.
Expanding its graphic-heavy releases to sporting accessories, A Bathing Ape presents the MILO GOLF BALL featuring BABY MILO’s face at its center. The iconic logo is featured across black, white and brown golf balls. Priced at ¥2,940 JPY (approximately £25), the A Bathing Ape MILO GOLF BALLS are now available via the BAPE online store.
Mr. Bathing Ape — as its name suggests — is something like BAPE‘s grown-up, more sophisticated sibling, a line for those occasions when a camo hoodie and BAPE STAs just won’t cut it. From the looks of things in its Autumn Winter 2013 preview, you can expect preppy wardrobe staples like gold-buttoned blazers, striped oxford shirts and repp ties — all of them garments that wouldn’t look out-of-place on an Ivy League campus or corporate office. Keeping things grounded, meanwhile, are washed denim and a pair of simple camo sneakers that, despite the line’s mature vibes, retain A Bathing Ape‘s street edge. Buy the full collection on CNCPT
I think Reebok have done an amazing job with their choice of colabs over the last 12 months… without realising they have made me at least start wearing them again and buying from their seasonal collections. The next colab up is Aape (which ever collection its always BAPE to me!) hooking up an edition of the Insta Pump Fury. Like its collaboration with adidas earlier this year, camo is key to the design. A release date is set for the 16th of September. What do you think? If anyone is reading from Reebok, I neeeeeeeeeed these ;)
A Bathing Ape presents a summertime footwear staple with its ABC CANVAS APE STA HI. A classic vulcanized sneaker, (their expensive Chuck Taylor Hi) this hi-top features an all-over BAPE camouflage print in shades of green and tan. The simple white toe cap and sole with black foxing complement the upper nicely, as do the light tan-colored laces. Crafted from full canvas, these APE STA HIs should make a great addition to the shoe rotation this summer.
